Job Summary
The Veterinary Receptionist is often the first point of contact for our clients and plays an essential role in creating a welcoming, professional, and positive experience for both clients and their pets. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing the front desk and supporting the daily operations of the veterinary hospital.

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing the front desk and supporting the daily operations of the veterinary hospital.
The ideal candidate is friendly, compassionate, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The Veterinary Receptionist will assist clients in person and by phone, schedule appointments, check patients in and out, maintain accurate client and patient records, process payments, communicate with the veterinary team, and help ensure the hospital runs smoothly and efficiently.
This position requires someone who is comfortable handling multiple tasks at once, communicates clearly and professionally, demonstrates empathy toward clients and their pets, and works well as part of a team. Previous veterinary or animal-care experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and courteous manner
Scheduling appointments for consultations, procedures, and follow-up care
Obtain working knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, products and fees.
Collect payment for services and medications
Answering phone calls from clients and respond to emails in a prompt, professional, friendly manner.
Accurately process monetary transactions. Reconcile nightly deposit.

Educating clients about pet health and well-being, including nutrition and vaccine protocols
Keeping the reception area clean and presentable
Experience with Avimark is a plus!
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!
**Salary based on experience**
Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
